Hi there, my name is Shadow. No, of course that's not my real name. On larger forums, I'm generally known as either Sandstone-Shadow or Qyuarkrien. I'm a fifteen year old girl, and I am currently a freshman in highschool. My birthday is on September 23rd. Mark your calendars. My favorite Pokémon include Xatu, Absol, Raticate, and Larvitar. Notible mentions would be Quilava, Swampert, Charizard, and Lugia.
In real life, I play clarinet in my high school band. I'm incredibly passionate about band, which is why I get so frustrated at times; the people that don't take it seriously ruin it for the rest of us.
I'm also involved in Destination Imagination and Forensics. In DI, you have a team of up to seven people, and you choose one challenge out of five. These challenges have certain guidelines and rules, and you basically write a play and build a set from those guidelines. You might also be required to build something that will perform a certain task, etc, or you may choose a improvisation challenge, in which you have only 30 minutes to prepare your presentation after the judges randomly select a few themes from a list. Forensics is basically competitive public speaking, and you choose one category from about 15. This year, I chose Storytelling, which involves learning five stories and being prepared to tell any of them at tournaments.
I tend to hide my emotions, and I rarely swear. If I'm frustrated or sad, I'll still greet people with a smile, usually. I tend to act hyper towards my friends, and I'm pretty shy towards people that I don't know very well. I tend to be indecisive and I hate standing out. Well... sometimes the attention is kinda nice, but most of the time I like to drift into the background of whatever's going on.
I tend to keep mental notes on a lot of things, such as what color eyes people have, how they respond to certain things, what color backpack they have, or what their car looks like. Sometimes I think it's a bit weird that I do this, but I can't really help it. I love to have everything organized, and once I'm done organizing everything, I'll probably re-organize it soon afterwards.
There's a lot of things that inspire me, particularly teamwork and music. I love to read and write, but I find my inspiration for writing comes and goes. On the computer, I like coding layouts and spriting, if I can summon up enough willpower to do it. If my laziness and procrastination weren't an issue, AMC would probably have dozens of different layouts.
